Angtas

History

Angtas was injured in the near beginning of the Domain War by Kelgarath, God of Trickery, and so took little part in the war itself, the then unbalanced Anore and chaotic entrance into Siliren, slowing her recovery. It was not until the conclusion of the Universe War that Angtas had healed enough and was able to resume practice within her domain. She took immediate interest in the Humans who originated in Siliren, and saw their hatred of the Anorians as a eventual downfall of balance in the planet and would begin working on healing the relations. While many Gods were on the side of wiping out the Humans to make room for their Anorian children, it was Angtas who most strongly campaigned for their mercy in letting the humans coexist. She was firm in her belief that the absence of the Humans in Siliren would cause an unavoidable death of the planet, no matter the Gods interference. Since then, Angtas has adopted the Humans as her children, and while their recognition of her is growing, the Humans continue to have a strong resentment of the foreign Gods.

Domain

Angtas is the Goddess of Balance, Seasons and Fertility, the latter two domains acting as a direct variable in the outcome of the first. She seeks to maintain balance in all aspects of the world, from the equality of life and death, subjects in which she works closely with Issias and Cheon, to emotional and physical balance between the beings of the Siliren and its earth. Angtas greatly admires those beings that attempt to live in harmony with the earth and its creatures, and looks down upon those that use and manipulate it for their own selfish reasons.

Interaction

Angtas’ interaction with the physical world is spotty. Shortly after the Universe War, Angtas worked closely in the human population, and granted many human women with increased fertility to aid in recovering an equality of male and female sexes within the race during a period of years not long after The Change Days. Now, while she continually works on maintaining balance in Siliren, she does so in a more far handed manner. She watches from her plane and relies on selected mortals to help uphold her domain.

Religion

Angtas is one of the more worshiped Gods in Human culture. Most Anored Humans consider Angtas to be the main God, and worship her over others. The Anorians also show respect for this God and thank her for her sacrifice during the Domain War. She is most favored by female’s because of her domain of fertility, as well as farmers who look to her to continue the seasonal changes important to their crops.
