Chemistry
The Chemistry skill is a Knowledge Specialization skill characters can earn XP in. A character’s Chemistry skill represents their ability to understand the base elements matter is made of and how they interact with one another. Characters with high Chemistry skills typically are chemists or scientists who can experiment with even the most dangerous substances to discover new elements or reactions to help further innovation and discovery.
Chemistry includes activities such as: identifying the elements matter is composed of, observing or creating reactions within matter by numerous means, or discovering new elements. Chemistry does not include understanding biology or creatures, plants, or people as that would be under either Zoology, Botany, or Anatomy. Chemistry also does not include crafting poisons or using chemical reactions to craft new items for use as that would be the Poison crafting, Engineering, or Innovation skill.
