Pilfering

The Pilfering skill is a Knowledge Specialization skill characters can earn XP in. A character’s Pilfering skill represents their ability to steal personal belongings or infiltrate private abodes. Characters who have a high Pilfering skill are typically bandits or mercenaries who can pick through any lock and steal items right out from under people’s noses.

 
Pilfering encompasses a few activities such as: pickpocketing, lock picking, and other larceny skills. Pilfering does not include remaining unseen or being stealthy in the act as that would be Espionage.
