City House Flats

The City House Flats are the go-to apartments for rent for those who wish to have affordable living within the Lysium city walls. The Flats are located within the first wall, in the Military District, to the north side of the gates of the city. There are four total separate buildings that make up the entirety of the City House Flats complex, and they each surround a small circular courtyard that lies between them. 

The City House Flats are government-owned, thus making rent slightly cheaper than other apartments or homes for rent within the cities walls. However, they are somewhat more expensive than rental properties outside of the walls. As a general rule, property is more expensive inside the walls of Lysium. 

The flats were constructed in the year 164 AC. The buildings that host the apartments used to be an extension of the Minting Factory, and were slated for reconstruction when they fell out of use. Due to the readily rising population level of the Humans, especially those who wanted to live inside the walls and be closer to the politics and markets, a huge home complex was decided upon by The Council Three for the buildings. 

Because of their prior association with the Minting Factory, the buildings are made of more quality material than many of their surrounding buildings. All exterior walls are made of a pale stone or pale brick, while interior walls are made of wood from the White Wood Forest, creating an overall pale color theme. The floors are also made of wood. Each building is four stories tall, except building three which is five stories.

The City House Flats features several different floor plans for their prospective residents. Ranging from a typical 400sq.ft one-room apartment, to a large six-room flat that is over 700sq.ft.
