Gilded Metals

For weapons masters who are more flashy than most, Gilded Metals is perfect for ordering custom made weapons with a variety of unique traits, as well as adding flairs to existing weapons. The finished weapons that are created by Jerome Tinamn are often considered art, both functional and decorative. However, because of this skill, the weapons from Gilded Metals are oftentimes much more expensive than the base weapon, and as a result, this shop is mainly only frequented by the rich and powerful, looking to flout their wealth.

Jerome himself is not a very flashy man, but instead found a perfect niche for him and his skill inside the city. With his long history of blacksmithing and knack for jewelcrafting, his clients finally found a weaponsmith willing and able to create magnificent custom creations.

While his shop mainly tailors to those who like things a bit fancier, Jerome often has a few apprentices and journeymen blacksmiths working with him at all times, able to make and supply the shop with basic weapons for cheap for those who stop by and only need something practical and quick. 

Located in the Public District, Gilded Metals is close to the wall that separates the Public and Government Districts of the city, as well as being close to the gates of the government district. This way those rich and powerful heading to the final district can easily see his sign, engraved with fancy lettering and painted with colorful pictures of weapons and jewels. The shop itself is small in the front end. A few glass cases, locked, with the finer weapons, and the cheaper ones mounted on the wall behind the counter and cases. An apprentice is always manning the front of the shop, talking with customers, and pricing items for sale. Behind the counters is a door that leads to the actual workshop, which is much larger than the public display in the front.

The workshop is dark and musty, multiple forges, and large blacksmithing equipment. The sound of pounding hammers against metal is near-constant and can be heard from the public shop. Jerome is almost never in the front of the shop unless to speak to a customer about a custom order. He does not allow his apprentices to take customer orders, as the rich tend to be less forgiving of mistakes. There is also an apartment attached to the shop, but only Jerome and his lady friends ever see it.

Jerome Tinamn

Jerome has lived in Lysium his entire life, his mother was from nobility and his father as well, however, both chose to lessen their lot in life to work among those living normal lives. His father was a jewelcrafter and once Jerome found an interest in blacksmithing he began working with his father to create one of a kind weapons, tools, and daily life items with both of their skills. Now he has inherited his father shop, expanded it, and transformed it into his own living and specialties. 

Jerome is known to be a bit of a ladies man, but he hasn’t appeared to settle as one, even with his growing age. He is serious about his business, but his apprentices will hear him endlessly complain about his picky customers.
