Mathematics
The Mathematics skill is a Knowledge Specialization skill characters can earn XP in. A character’s Mathematics skill represents their understanding of numbers and ability to perform mathematical calculations. Characters who have a high Mathematics skill typically are mathematicians or engineers who can solve complex problems with precise calculations and measurements.
Mathematics encompasses any direct use of math such as: basic math, geometry, algebra, theoretical math, probability, etc. Mathematics does not include crafting or enacting upon the calculations that have been made as Mathematics applies only to the calculations directly. For instance, if one has made calculations on how to construct a bridge that can withstand high winds, Mathematics would apply to the calculations made but not to the direct construction of the bridge as that would fall under Architecture.
