Name: Currituck Itavi
Nicknames: Tucky (by parents), Little Tucky (by Mom), Tuckibuck (by Pop), Curt (by his sailing buddy Terry) -- goes by Currituck regardless
Race: Hellbend
Gender Identity: Male (he/him/his)
Birthday: 46th of Spring, 298 AC
Age: 23
Spellpool: 210
Current Location: Avakaron/Gordon Strait/Paethsmouth

Aura:
Pale dandelion yellow. A faint sky-blue "puffball" roughly a foot in diameter drifts slowly in (Currituck's) counterclockwise circle around the center of his chest like a cumulus cloud in a lazy summer wind. The Journeyman Auror may observe the blue puff to rise to his head and move around more or change direction to (Currituck's) clockwise when he casts Auristics or to cease moving when he casts a Harnessed Spell. Higher-level Aurors may observe the blue puff to move up to Currituck's head and start to burst out at a constant pace (like a Pyromancy Spell) when he casts Auristics, taking up his whole visual Auristic overlay; or to be swallowed up by the dandelion yellow spiraling in on it in (Currituck's) counterclockwise motion when he casts a Harnessed Spell.
Appearance:
Currituck has a short and wiry stature for his race, at a WHOPPING 6 feet and 235 pounds. His skin is a tanned dark burgundy and his hair is a sun-bleached maroon, what little hair he has, that is -- he keeps his hair cut down close to his scalp because he feels icky if his hair is even so much as pushing half an inch. He maintains a clean-shaven aesthetic with his facial hair to show off his slight but sharp lower facial features (and also because facial hair is icky and could harbor parasites, which is not good when you're stuck out at sea in close quarters with others). His horns are usually hidden by the simple off-white cap he wears to shield his eyes -- gray as the storm clouds that long to embrace the ocean -- from the sun and protect his nearly-bare scalp from the elements, but when he isn't wearing his cap, one will notice that his left horn is but a nub due to breaking most of it off falling off some rigging, and that his right horn is just shy of four inches, sweeping smoothly back over the top of his head. Sandwiched by those stormy eyes is the prominent but narrow bridge of his nose, and holding those ambitious eyes aloft are his high and slightly-defined cheekbones. There is no visible adam's apple to speak of. Oh and by the way, he's nearsighted, so he's sometimes seen sporting spectacles so his surroundings aren't a damn blur.
The rest of his body has muscle mass and tone from his seafaring work, but his high metabolism makes it difficult for him to put on more weight, so he's still scrawny by Hellbend standards. Currituck has grown to love his body the way it is, and considers himself handsome. He carries himself confidently, as a good posture and a self-assured manner are qualities he admires and instantly respects in his superiors. His back is scored with scars old and new from being struck by the captain's daughter -- the cat o' nine tails, which is a tool used for corporal punishment aboard ships.
His outfit consists of his white, visored cap as mentioned before; a simple off-white long-sleeved shirt; tan pants with a brown belt and brass belt buckle; and a pair of brown boots that come up to the ankle (with ankle-length off-white socks within). And of course a pair of undies, but those are only viewable with express permission from Currituck.

Personality:
Such is Currituck's way: enjoy life and keep on improving.
Bubbly and outgoing with a passion for leadership, Currituck's vibrant personality makes him quick to endear. He can cry oceans, erupt volcanoes, and light up the gloomiest of days with his emotions; however, he works to temper his emotions because, to be a good captain of a ship, one must be a masterful captain of oneself. That and his emotions can be exhausting in their extremes.
Currituck speaks rather informally (save for when addressing his superiors), and where he lacks in the kitchen, he makes up for in the quantities of spices exotic and domestic he seasons his sentences with. But swearing isn't the only thing his sailor mouth can do: since childhood he'd been mistreated for his short height and small frame, especially by other Hellbend boys and men; however, this changed one day when a crewmate foolishly directed their grubby hands towards his beloved compass and they lost a finger to Currituck's hurricane fury and sharp incisors. Sailors who are familiar with him have a degree of respect for him now, and they keep unfamiliar sailors up to speed that the short sailor is not to be trifled with. Currituck prefers to turn in early and get up early, as that's when he rests the best.
Currituck worships Muostas, Citah, and Rakar chiefly, but prays to a few other Deities as well.
Rum and attractive individuals (especially human women) are his poisons, but at the end of the day, Currituck's passion towards captaincy matters far more to him than any bottle or person's physique. (Orientation: aromantic bisexual)
History:
Currituck's parents moved to Avakaron as newlyweds in 291 to start a new life and a tailoring business together. For many years they tried for a baby, but of the few pregnancies resultant of their passion, none made it to term. They prayed to the Gods to heal their infertility, but there were only more miscarriages, more heartbreak. At long last, six years after their arrival on the coast, they gave birth to Currituck, who would be their only child. They couldn't handle any more heartbreak. All they wanted to do was to love their child whom they had tried so long and so hard to welcome into the world.
Welcome, our son.
For as long as he's been alive, Currituck has held a deep fascination with and adoration for the ocean, along with an inclination towards leadership. From age 10 he'd begged his parents to let him tag along on the boats and ships that made stops at the city's docks. They initially they said no -- his mere birth was a miracle, and they didn't want to lose their only son to the great nautical abyss; but despite their fears for his safety, Currituck's parents eventually relented, seeing how his eyes lit up at the mere mention of sailing -- but only for small fishing boats that wouldn't go out too far or for too long. Finally, on the eve of Currituck's 16th birthday, his parents gave him their blessing to follow his dream to become a sailor and eventually the captain of his own ship (which he will affectionately name The Rikkitik), along with the simple yet valuable gift of a compass. After a tearful night of hugs, heartfelt words, and kisses with his family, Currituck set out bright and early the next morning to find work as a sailor, beloved compass in his pocket.
