Advanced Medicine
The Advanced Medicine skill is a Knowledge Specialization skill characters can earn XP in. A character’s Advanced Medicine skill represents their ability to perform advanced medical procedures, diagnose diseases, and prescribe proper medicine or treatments for a patient. Characters with high Advanced Medicine typically are surgeons who can diagnose a patient and treat complex medical issues with the proper equipment.
Advanced medicine includes a variety of procedures such as: surgery, prescribing medicine, diagnosing disease, applying casts/setting bones, giving stitches, etc. Advanced Medicine does not include things like CPR, the Heimlich Maneuver, Trichotomies, bandaging wounds, or other simpler medical procedures as these would fall under the First Aid skill.
