Lion’s Refuge

Published by admin on

Located in the Military Circle, Lion’s Refuge is a homely tavern that services the district. The tavern is mostly occupied with military members and travelers who find the first tavern inside the walls to sit and rest.

The Tavern itself is built close to the main entry gate of the first wall of Lysium, a high travel location for those entering the inner districts of the city. And on the left side of the gate, the more enlisted populated side of the circle.

The Lion’s Refuge is known for decent drinks and pretty barmaids – as Lysium troops are not allowed to seek companionship at the cities brothels they tend to enjoy the company here, and the owner hires pretty women to keep them coming back. Thankfully, he is very protective of them and would not let any guest get too out of control.

Terion Highret is the owner of the establishment, a lifelong brewer and weapons hobbyist who bought the tavern from a retiring owner. He’s been looking over the place for a couple of decades now and has built a good reputation with his employees and regulars.

The tavern itself is quite large and it two stories. The first floor is crowded with tables and chairs, booths like the walls and there are two smaller outlets for more private sections. The bar itself its located along a long back wall and full of different drinks for the customers to choose from. Most nights are busy with enlisted members getting off their daily jobs. Most mornings are busy too, with troops retiring from their late night watches. The bar is often mroe crowded than it would seem to be able to handle, but Highret has done well to hire a surplus of employees to handle the crowds.

The second floor is off limits to customers and employees as it is Terion Highret’s personal rooms.
