Siliren

The world of Siliren was once known by a now forgotten name. It is unclear when the old name dropped out of existence or where the new name bore from, as there are no surviving records to detail this change. However it is known that before The Change Days, Siliren was home exclusively to the Humans. Little is known of this race’s history, and therefore little is known of Siliren itself long before The Change Days. What is known is that the Humans dominated the world at one point, with massive cities and advanced technology. Somewhere along the timeline their race fell and was decimated by an unknown cause. The entire race dwindled to low numbers and their advanced technology lost to the winds. They were unprepared for The Change Days

Over two centuries ago the ground ripped open and out came a flooding of strange creatures into Siliren. The Humans, terrified and confused about these events attacked the incoming monsters, hoping to drive them back into their portals in the ground. The Humans did not succeed and millions of sentient beings came into the world and were greeted with violence and death from their new neighbors. It took days for the millions of beings to transfer from their old world into Siliren and these days of confusion became known as The Change Days

As the portals closed and the new beings tried to get a grasp of their new home, the Humans continued to battle and murder them. In defense the new beings came together and a war started between the small Human population and the much larger invasion. This war was dubbed the Universe War and lasted less than a year. It came to a close as the Humans retreated, away from the initial site of the portals, and away from the strange beings that inhabited the land around them.

As the Humans fled from Delenium, where the portals first opened, they began to notice the severe changes that had afflicted their world. Strange new creatures with odd abilities attacked them on their way, new plants with vibrant colors and qualities poisoned and aided the Humans in their retreat. Even some Humans found themselves feeling different and began to hide magical new skills they suddenly possessed. It was soon realized that these portals did not just bring invaders, but they brought an energy that had spilled across the land and affected almost everything it touched. This energy, as they would come to know, was called Rigen.

As the Humans fled and began to settle in Winhem, opposite the world from the original invasion sites, the new beings began to spread themselves across Siliren and settle on abandoned and empty lands. These strangers were called Anorians a group of multiple different Races, from the world named Anore. The Anorians did not follow and try to rid the world of Humans. Most acknowledged and understood the Humans anger and confusion and chose to simply leave them alone to find peace. The new arrivals instead focused their efforts in regrouping with their different races to settle and rebuild.

Some Anorians, though, could not return to their old lives and families. The portals that brought them to Siliren were charged with a tremendous amount of Rigen, a volatile and wild energy, that affected some beings in a negative way. As they emerged from the portal they discovered their bodies had morphed and changed. Attempting to seek comfort from their families, they were met only with fear and were quickly pushed out of their original cultures. With nowhere else to go, these banished peoples fled, grouping up along the way with other mutants who had been cast out as well. A hatred slowly brewed for their old kind and it was this that connected and allied them with the Humans when they were discovered years later. These people came to be known as the Hellbends.

As the Anorians occupied the majority of the land, the Humans claimed for themselves the Great Plains of Winhem to restart. They rejected the outside world and its new inhabitants and have only recently begun to take steps to explore outside of their home within the Great Plains. The Hellbends were the first outsiders the Human race encountered and the two enjoy a tentative, yet peaceful relationship. The fate of the Anorian races is unknown to both the Humans and Hellbends, and only time will reveal their secrets.
