Goddess of Magic & Rigen

History

As the Anorian Goddess of Magic, Nilata created Rigen, the magical essence of Anore. In the Domain War, Nilata was the second God, after Cheon, to be approached by Issias and the proposal of ending the war for the sake of the Anorians. She quickly agreed, as Nilata is known for being very compassionate. Because of this early truce, Nilata is one of the three Peacekeeper Gods, who reign over the others and keep each other in check. Nilata is also the main creator of the portal from Anore to Siliren, as the portal was made up of an accumulation of all the Rigen energy on Anore. Some consider her the mother of the Hellbends, as Rigen mutated them during The Change Days, but the creation was a mistake and not intended by the Goddess, though she does take responsibility for them.

Domain

Nilata’s domain is Rigen and magic. The magical energy that courses through the world of Siliren. Rigen was created by Nilata and placed into every single piece of matter, living or not, on Anore, it was a fundamental building block of the world. However, within Siliren, Rigen has changed, and with it Nilata. She is no longer connected to everything in the world, instead she is only connected to the living things, as those are the only things in Siliren that Rigen bonded to.

Interaction

Nilata has a very active role within the physical world of Siliren. Casters often find themselves crossing her path sometimes during their training, however brief the encounter may be. Hellbends as well rarely go their entire lifetime without meeting the Goddess as she claimed them as her own after The Change Days, feeling responsible for their fate. Most of her interactions are open, in that the other knows exactly who she is. She rarely hides her true identity from the mortals she meets.

Religion

Worship of Nilata is extremely widespread throughout Siliren. Rigen, to many, is considered the lifeblood of Anore. On Siliren, While Rigen does not power the planet, it still feeds many aspects of life and culture, even to those who are not Casters. Shrines and Temples to Nilata can be found in nearly every Anorian and Hellbend society, and Anored Humans worship the Goddess as well. There are a few societies that consider Nilata their main God, as well as multiple societies and groups that are dedicated to her.
