Clink-Clink

Published by admin on

Originally called The Clinic, this health center hosted in the Sabirov family longhouse was affectionately nicknamed the Clink-Clink by Avakaronian families, spefically the children of the city.

The Sabirov longhouse is nestled to the immediate left of the Physical Temple in Avakaron. It is known to everyone in the Helbend community as the family are the best healers in the city. The back half of their longhouse is set up to be where they take care of their patients and is broken up into three parts.

The first part closest to the door consists of a flat wooden bench, rubbed smooth from decades of wear and hundreds of little vials and containers across dozens of shelves that hold all the tinctures and tonics that the Sabirov family prescribes. Beyond this space, there are several wooden partitions that make up several examination and treatment rooms, each with a long flat bench Helbend waist high and a couple of chairs. Each alcove also has a small wash basin and a cupboard of medical supplies.

The third part of the area is blocked off by heavy dark curtains and contains two beds on one side of the room for recovering patients and on the other side a tall table that is always covered with dried herbs and bottles. Hanging above the table are dozens of plants in different stages of drying, that always give the room a very earthy feel. Beyond this area is the living quarters of the Sabirov family. The family are followers of Bathdra and have emblems in each section of the building.

The lead doctor of the clinic is currently Akmet Sabirov, who is also the Head of the Sabirov family. He has many assistants and nurses, mostly of the Sabirov relation, but outside hires are not uncommon.

NPCs

Akmat Sabirov

Head of the family and famed healer. He has a warm and friendly disposition, with almost never a harsh word said and child-like excitement when he finds something new. He is conversational in Common, although he always talks with great animation and has been known to knock things over when he gets excited. He loves teaching and watching his apprentices grow and learn from him. Born in 265AC.

Bahkyt Sabirov

The eldest of Akmat’s children. He has a cold, efficient manner that tends to make people uncomfortable until they see his skill. The perfect opposite of his father in personality and the black sheep of the family as he does not share the intuitive nature of healing that his father and sister have. He has a prejudice against humans, as he thinks that Hellbends are superior in every way and is perpetually annoyed with human presence in the Clink-clink. He is very book-smart and well-read, understanding both Rigerian and Common if spoken or written. He is conversational in Common. Born in 301AC.

Eldana Sabirov

The youngest and only daughter of Akmat. She is tall for a Hellbend female but her kind and gentle nature always put her patients at ease. She can often be found humming and singing softly to herself as she works and has a great affinity for healing like her father. She is also a fairly accomplished artist and sometimes sells her work at festivals and celebrations. She speaks Common poorly. Born in 305AC.
