Season Change
Multiple times within an IRL year, the Seasons within Siliren change. This means changes both IC and OOC. Siliren has a semi-fluid timeline, which means that while a Player can timestamp a thread any day during the current Season, but cannot timestamp outside of that Season unless it can be categorized as a memory.
On the IRL day, that coincides with the IC day of a Season change the Spirit Moderators will facilitate the numerous changes that occur in-game. It is up to you as a Player to be aware of the date of a Season change and what that means for your character and your threads.
Obviously, on a Season change, the first thing a Player may now do is start playing in the new Seasons, start threads, and stories dated within the new Season. However, this also means that no new threads can be started in the previous Season unless the character fits the exceptions for a Memory thread in the previous Season. Threads that were started, but not finished in the previous Season can be completed. The only requirement for this is that every character involved in the thread is required to have at least one completed post in the thread. Moderators and Players who have active moderated or personal threads from the previous season are heavily encouraged to finish these threads as quickly as possible to make room for the new Season.
At Season change the player should find a post within the Wages Request Thread for their city. The PC needs to have participated in at least two threads of any topic, one must be a completed thread, and the second, while does not need to be completed, are encouraged to be as close to finished as possible. These threads do not need to be related to the PC’s IC job, they are just there to prove activity during the previous Season. Within the Wages Request thread post, the player needs to post their job title, approved wage amount, and links to at least two threads during the Season in which they need to be paid. The Moderators will attempt to work quickly to get everyone paid in a timely manner. However, be aware that they have the right to deny payment to any PC based on their opinion of activity. This is rare, but their decision is final.
Along with Wage Requests, Players also need to request NPC experience if they qualify for it. See the NPC page for details on what NPCs can gain XP, and how. Cities will also have an Experience Request Thread, possibly merged with the Job Request Thread, where you can apply for NPC XP at the Season change. It is important to post these applications ASAP after the Season change so Moderators can go over the applications as quickly as possible
For some cities, the Spirit Moderators may have event or weather calendars to spice up their areas. Expect these to change, hopefully as close to the Season change as possible. Please remember that Season Change is a lot of work for Spirit Moderators. They have a lot of work that suddenly springs up, please be mindful of this.
