Appearance

Dark haired, fair complexion, and stunning ice blue eyes. Angela sits, stands and moves with excellent posture and keeps a well-kept appearance. She stands 5ft 10 inches tall and possesses a physically active woman’s build. Toned muscles adorn her average frame. When she speaks, it is with an articulate soprano voice.

Personality

Angela has a curious intellect that she loves to satiate. It would never be surprising to find her face buried in a book for hours at a time. Her greatest interest is learning about magic and unravelling all the mystery behind it. This causes her to gravitate towards other casters, especially those who show more intellectual interest than the average. When she can, she’ll withhold information if it would encourage a person to study on their own more, because she feels knowledge is something that is earned and not given. She’s an empathic woman which leads her to be less confrontational. During an argument she is more likely to be the self-anointed moderator. She finds often the best way to improve a person’s mood is to make them laugh.

Physical fitness and recreation are important to her as well. Angela dislikes the idea of not being able to do something because of a physical inability to do so. Exercise is her preferred method of relieving stress or distracting herself from a problem she can’t solve.

Background

The Serban family has served in the Lysium Military for the last five generations. It has become a tradition expected to be upheld by each new generation. Angela was the only daughter among four children and never shied away from upholding the tradition. Her goal has always been to rise above the rank of Decanus, which no one in the family has ever accomplished. To do this, it instilled in her the desire to be better, making her a competitive person. What she learned from her brothers, directly and indirectly, is that it is better to be smarter than it is to be stronger. From this thinking, Angela drove herself hard into her studies.

During her adolescent years, Angela learned all she could about the Anorian history and culture. This exposed her to a lot of the Hellbend influence growing in Lysium, where she eventually found an interest in magic. Despite her family’s disapproval, she began learning about Rigen and how to cast spells. As the military began considering the formation of the Thuergiony, she was among the first to apply.
